Unframed canvases come with a white edge and framed canvases come with a black edge.
A striking stag stepping out of the forest shadows into the sunbeams coming through the tree canopy. The original was painted in acrylic with foliage pressed onto the canvas for an authentic display of its habitat. There is an emphasis on the light that catches his stance capturing his majestic strength.
An array of different foliage, collected from Hampshire woodlands has been painted and pressed directly onto the original painting for an imperfectly true portrayal of natures plants and undergrowth. The semi abstract colours give a whimsical and intriguing portrayal of the stag and his natural habitat.
Embellished by hand with gold leaf creating a contemporary feel. Signed in the bottom right corner.
