Unframed canvases come with a white edge and framed canvases come with a black edge.
A fleeting glimpse of a kingfisher in the woodland undergrowth. Kingfisher’s are such solitary creatures. It seems when people speak of seeing them, it’s significant and poignant to them. And it most cases quite rare! ‘Sapphire’ in name and by nature- rare and the deepest and rich dark blue.
The original was painted in acrylic with foliage pressed onto the canvas for an authentic display of its habitat. Seasonal bluebells were a particular feature in this piece. The tail is dispersing into its surroundings emphasising the connection to nature.
Embellished by hand with gold leaf creating a contemporary feel. Signed in the bottom right corner.
